  The winery is "out of the way" but worth the trip. John and Marti wisely won't sell wine before it's ready. Every wine we've tasted has depth and layers of flavor with no off notes. In addition to the usual varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay), La Belle makes some very good wine from other grape varieties. We especially like the Grenache. Their Nebbiolo is one of the best wines I've ever had. They've just started making a Teroldego, which they hope to be their signature wine. If you're making a trip to the Terra Bella wineries, don't miss La Belle, and if you live in the central valley, plan to make a day trip. They are usually open only on Saturday afternoons, so you may want to check before driving out at other times. (And pretty much ignore the web site: It's out of date.)

  I absolutely love the wine here. I'm their customer from Los angeles (Gardena). This winery is as good or better than the coast! Will be back for the movie night & wine in the summer. (actually, be back in two weeks lol). Alex

  We are from Southern California and live in Visalia, this is by far our favorite winery. Such a nice location and warm friendly owners. If you like good wine, no need to go to the coast, you'll love La Belle!
